The old lady I Met

images (5)

we were unknown to each other
so what
sometimes you feel like
knowing,
unraveling the shadow,
a quest of heart..may be
her face revealing a drought of hope,
her deep swollen eyes
saying..she can't cry any more
her heart coveting to be talked to
with known or unknown people,
to disprove her non-entity stature
to minimize the fear of uncertainty
a fear of beginning of the end!
the mental woes superseding
the physical debilities of aging,
of new diseases
the nonchalance of her own blood
whom she gave all that she had
relegating her to be a lovelorn!
while listening to her solitude,pain
i wondered
how every thing becomes a thing of past
in the marathon of life!
whether
aging must bring with it redundancy, seclusion,
and doldrums?
God bless you MOM
all that i could whisper

Oh, that’s so lovely. What a good rejoinder of how we each impact each other and why we should never forget.

I just really love this poem, every line! Had to read it through two or three times just to take it all in. It reminds me to think of those who are aging and may be silently suffering. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Gilda so much,Aging is natural..a process of every living being but the indifference to reading their hearts should not be natural.. more so when they need it most . Blessings
