Life after death

is (6)

the morning after the mourning
i thought
i will save lives
or enrich their life
for human life
too sacred to be lost to organ failure
i thought
i will live and live on..
on a route to immortality
being the eyes of an old man
kidney of a boy
or heart of someone
who tried his own out
i thought
i would not leave this world
without doing anything
for what i leave behind
is not what is engraved
in the stone monuments
but what is woven
into the hearts of others
seeing ME in THEM
a confluence of death and life
a life after death!

    • Thank you Veena, if salvaged in time n in a proper pre-pledged mode, organ donation can be as good as living through them for ever . Moreover everything is black after closing the eyes!

A very profound post and very timely as fewer people seem to want to donate their organs these days.

This post is awesome it is crazy to think how many people refuse to be an organ donor out of fear that the doctors will not try everything they can to save them. If it’s your time it’s your time it is going to come eventually so why not

    • Very true, it’s a bit about awareness deficit.. what more a noble cause can be by seeing others happy..of course after our death by just leaving a wish to donate those organs we or our family finding of no use ! Let’s be the source of blessings for others! Thank you for your kind words.
