Half Love

The sea beach
and the marching waves,
excited,nervous
oblivious of hitting where
castles are built,
rebuilt in the pinkish air
exhilaration rules
the adrenaline,
jasmine enamours everywhere.
Waves but return
cracks appear in mirror
or patches in cracks,
sort of unknown virus
retreating warmth
subtle but sure,
to dreams,halfway
en route the failed fantasies.
Silences amidst commotion,
in the day
or midnights solitary soliloquy,
with moments of mementos
tired tears
like a defeated heart.
Half empty
or half full
who will do the litmus test
now?
The picturesque garden of autumn,
had an entry,
exit gate too,
everything happens
for a reason,
predestined
preordained?
may be.

Crescent

I  asked  the effusive reminiscences
to take   me to those moments
to be with you
I asked the rain to wash away
those tears and solitude
to palliate the pains
to pervade those dimples
on your cheeks
I  asked  those innocuous fights
to be very careful  next time
to be evanescent
if at all they be
I asked the breeze  to  preclude
the heaviness  in the air
or heart
I asked the esoteric crescent
to go back
to come back
a mellifluous full moon

Tendril

somebody  from the crowd

said

be it  as  it may

why  it should  be

and  how long , i  don’t  know

the wooden log , dry,

life less , separated  from mother tree,

some how aspires  to be

in the middle  of  lively meadow

not   in the midst  of  midnight  despondency,

to  witness  the  preheated fantasies

going   evaporated , through  the window,

black  in the  night,

singing  a  semitone,

time  and  again.

You  know

it  is  difficult  to duplicate  the feelings

though  new aurora  may bring  varied new colors,

a  different  genre,

the  heart  still  craves

to  revolve around  the  sun  of  you

in  a  neoclassical  way,

with  renewed  precocity

to  draw  a  herbaceous  border

that  flourishes

with  the  tendril  of  you  being  near me,

ingrained.

Time

a  rendezvous with the past,

smiling sunflowers,

and  lovely butterflies,

why some how

leads  to miles and miles

of  barren land and bald trees

now ?

don’t say , time heals

in the face of  a diminishing candle

and  a  distancing  riverbank.

who will now tell the time

to  return those blushes

those innocuous fights ,

those mosaic of togetherness !

Solitary

download

moistened heart

emotional fatigue

graphic equalizers of reminiscences

in the solitary night

the cravings to talk

but with whom

the night lamp

the photo frame on the wall,

the confluence of  paranoias,

waves of despair,

a virtual crowd,

hijackers of peace

or the lone barking dog  on the road,

outside

or the aurora which is yet to come

a cloistered soliloquy

echoing the same permutations

and combinations in the labyrinth,

tired,restless

the outlet or divergence

is a precious thing

who is there?

with a handful of fresh air

looks like the shadow of the invisible idol

with all embracing arms,

and compassionate eyes,

knocking at the door!

Flyleaf

is-5

why the rainy evening
reminds me my solitude
absence of symbiosis
i don't know
falling down of the book
from the bookshelf
was accidental
not my canvas of thoughts
looking out for the cocoon of your love
the old book you gave me years back
a gift or an enrapturing memento
to caress me much later
God knows
a garden of autumn just followed me
wherever my reminiscences went
coupled with the rainy winds
what a picturesque fragrance
of you..hovering near me
i noticed the last page
the flyleaf
unwritten,blank
the pure white color has turned into off white
like an overcast sky
hiding the sun of subdued feelings
reinforcing the years gone by
or 'the time heals' consolation perfectly ensconced
i wanted to write something
on the blank flyleaf
not for calligraphy or origami
but for meeting you
right there in the flyleaf itself
but could not write much
except
your name
and " God bless you ever"
