Do you know?

Do you know?

failures and rejections

are scattered around

the floor of my house

and I still

collect

preserve

those broken pieces of mirror,

obsolete coins,

handful of mists,

in half-broken

half-full heart

in the midnight?

Someone, a black shadow

standing still

behind the drapery,

unmoved

reticent.

I sometimes long

to find a vibrant soul ,

a talking parrot,

an unseasonal stream of love

from the shadow

overenthusiastically

but amidst

rains of tears

cyclone of heartache

and darkness of failed fantasies,

nothing is seen or heard

in the soundless post midnight?

Do you know ?

the questions

needing soothing answers,

ironically, go on to present

more and more new questions,

smokes of crackers,

thick black clouds

and a battlefield

of anxieties, despair,

a secluded long serpentine road ahead?

Why should you

images (1)

the moon light may play

hide and seek,

hiding behind the black clouds

why should you?

the soundless sound

and the aura of emptiness

may have managed to stay back

in my room or  the foyer,

the loneliness and pains

may have lied to be okay,

beneath a brave posture

why should you?

people may say and forget

what they had said,

the crowd may misunderstand

the congestion in my heart,

the logjam of uneasinesses

or the obscure silence , in between

why should you?

the snowfall

might have buried everything,

under its way,

covering the beautiful mementos,

en route

why should you?

Drenched

download

when the  rain clad   hibiscus  smiled

in the breezy  morning today,

I  began searching  for  the absconding butterflies,

the rainbows

the miniature dreams

though ephemeral .

you see,

the question never was

how to dance drenched in rain,

driving the insipidity away

but how exhilarating it would

be with you by my side

I wiped the foggy droplets

on my glass window

to revisit the flashbacks

and recreate the paper boats !

Distance

3584114178_e52753647b_n

the sky maintained

a  stoic silence

may be it is adept in it

like you?

the falling raindrops

outside my room,

brought me near to you today

a whirlpool of warmth and fondness,

fantasy and passion

nostalgia and hope

even a shiver,

all assembled to witness what next,

the heart dance to the tuning

of  torrential rains,

expectancy of  sprouting of new leaves,

on a bald tree.

the cold winds made me talk to you

you said

you liked the coral reefs under water

i said

you would find it inside my longing heart,

that has not gone dry over the years,

if  you delve a little deeper

you see

long distance was not an issue

the distance was never ever

long for me!

Hedge

hedge

the regalia
now
looks inorganic
without you
the histrionics around
the hocus-pocus in the air
made me crave for your presence
to tide over the hollowness within
to revisit the gallery of togetherness
we created
the restless cuckoo's chirp of the neighbourhood
in the morning
repeatedly said..
'what you are waiting for
cross the hedge
right now'
to recreate the mosaic,
left behind
